What are Sustainable Development Goals?
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an action plan made by the United Nations to help develop a better, brighter future for the world. The action plan tries to solve all the inequalities regarding health, education, and economic growth (2). There are a total of 17 SDGs, and each goal tackles a different problem society is facing today.
Unicef is a non-profit organization that helps children meet their basic needs and fights for their rights so every child can reach their full potential. Many countries and non-profit organizations, such as Unicef, aim to reach the SDGs. Unicef is a United Nations Member State, and they have adapted the SDGs to focus on their slogan; “for every child”. Following their plan of action, they are working hard to deliver “good health, quality education, a clean planet” for every child by 2030 (1).
